Quality Agisting / Boarding

We offer high quality agisting / boarding for your alpacas because ranching is our full time job. We have several pastures for rotating the herd on our 55 acre ranch. Boarding your alpacas with us here at My Sweet Alpaca, you can have the investment benefits of a farm without the care and maintenance of the animals. Our offered services are:

Pricing and Terms

Base Price: $3.50 per day

Neonatal/Maternity: $350

Shearing: $30.00

Teeth Trimming: $15.00 (includes fighting teeth)

Micro-chipping: $20.00

Sales/Marketing: 10% of sales price

** Proof of insurance or liability waiver is required. Vet checks, negative fecals, and proof of negative BVDV PCR testing are required before an alpaca can be boarded from another farm.

Additional Fees

If your alpaca is pregnant, Neonatal care is essential from the 11th month up until the birth of cria, a $350 charge. Newborn cria and Dam will receive routine care, and cria will be vaccinated, IgG tested, and micro-chipped (if desired). If veterinarian services are required, for either the Dam or cria (or any boarded alpaca), owners will be billed accordingly.

Shearing is done around April or May (depending on weather). Alpacas will be shorn for show blankets, with stovepipe legs and topknot. Straight shearing is done upon request.

Teeth Trimming is usually done during shearing time for $15.00 per alpaca. Upon request, teeth trimming can be done any time for $15.00 per alpaca. No teeth cutting will be done.

Micro-chipping can be done on herd animals upon request. There is an additional charge for travel to your farm or you can bring your animals to our ranch.

Sales of any alpaca are offered at a 10% commission. Your alpaca will be listed on 'Alpaca Nation' and professionally marketed as their own alpaca.
